New Sudbury Centre

The New Sudbury Centre is the largest shopping mall in Sudbury, Ontario. It has 110 stores and 530,619 square feet (49,296.1 m²) of retail space. [1] Major tenants include Sears, Wal-Mart, Urban Planet, Future Shop and American Eagle Outfitters.
Today's Future Shop was originally housed inside the actual shopping mall but relocated to the site of the Sear's Garage (now demolished). This was due to Future Shop not wanting to pay the higher rent being asked by Mall management.
The mall has undergone many renovations since it's original design. The food court area used to contain an A&P grocery store while a bowling alley was situated in the area of Circuit City.
After the bowling alley closed, Little Joe's pinball arcade opened up across from the bowling alley and became a popular entertainment establishment for the youth during the 1970s-80's.
In 1994, Walmart bought the former Woolco location and demolished it to create a parking lot.
