New South Wales Department of Lands

The New South Wales Department of Lands is an agency of the Government of New South Wales with broad responsibilities relating to land use.
The Department is responsible for
- the management of certain government-owned land
- the maintenance of land title records
- surveying and mapping
- land valuation
- recreational and visitor facilities, such as State Parks, Great North Walk and The Hume and Hovell Walking Track.
The Department comprises the Land and Property Information Division, the Crown Lands Division, the Soil Conservation Service Division and the Office of Rural Affairs and is led by Director-General Warwick Watkins.
The Minister for Lands is Tony Kelly.
The Department is responsible for the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales and the New South Wales Board of Surveying and Spatial Information.
