New Roads-St. Francisville Ferry
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The New Roads-St. Francisville Ferry carries Louisiana Highway 10 across the Mississippi River between New Roads and St. Francisville, Louisiana, United States. Unlike its downriver counterparts--The Plaquemine, White Castle, and Reserve ferries--The New Roads-St. Francisville ferry is typically quite reliable and sees relatively few closures.[citation needed]
Its replacement, the John James Audubon Bridge, is currently in the early phases of construction and will be a cable-stayed bridge similar to the Luling Bridge downriver in St. Charles Parish. It is to be the longest cable stayed bridge in North America
