New Palestine High School is part of the Hoosier Heritage Conference and offers soccer, tennis, cross country, football, golf, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, wrestling, baseball, softball, and track and field.
The New Palestine High School baseball team were the 2003 3A state runner-ups and the 2004 3A state champions. The softball team was the 2003 2A state runner-ups and the 2004 3A state champions. The 1991 football team were 3A state runner-ups in a game that, at the time, was the highest scoring game in IHSAA championship history.

Todd Yoder is a tight end for the Washington Redskins and played at Vanderbilt University on the college level. He won a [Super Bowl] ring as a member of the 2003 [Tampa Bay Buccaneers].
