New Mexico State Road 8 is a primarily north-south road from Route 62/Route 180 west of Hobbs to its junction with State Road 207 in Eunice.

State Road 8 begins at its junction with State Route 207 in Eunice. It runs due west as Avenue O and then northeast past the Eunice Airport before turning north, traveling through largely rural land until its northern terminus with US Routes 62 and 180 west of Hobbs.
