In Ridgefield, Route 63 junctions with Route 5 and continues into Palisades Park. There, Route 63 crosses the Palisades Park section of County Route 501, connecting travellers to Route 93 on the west side. [edit] History
Before the 1953 renumbering, Route 63 was known as Route S1, a spur of Route 1.[3] In 1977, the span of Route 63 in Fort Lee was declared a no passing zone.[4] On an unavailable date, right turns at Washington Avenue, J.F. Kennedy Boulevard, Edgewater Avenue and Brinkerhoff Avenue were prohibited.[5]
