[edit] History

Before the 1953 renumbering, Route 63 was known as Route S1, a spur of Route 1.[3] In 1977, the span of Route 63 in Fort Lee was declared a no passing zone.[4] On an unavailable date, right turns at Washington Avenue, J.F. Kennedy Boulevard, Edgewater Avenue and Brinkerhoff Avenue were prohibited.[5]
