Route 20, known locally as McLean Boulevard, is a state highway that runs 4.15 miles (6.68 km) in New Jersey, United States. It runs along the east side of Paterson between U.S. Route 46 and River Street (County Route 504), at which point County Route 504 begins.[1]

[edit] Route description

Route 20 begins northbound at the confluence of US 46 and NJ 21 near the Passaic River as McLean Boulevard. NJ 20 then continues with an interchange with the Garden State Parkway (exit 156, northbound only) and then an interchange with Interstate 80. Route 20 then continues north with no important interchanges until its interchange with NJ 4 (Eastbound only). Route 20 continues further north, with an interchange with 5th Avenue, and ends in Paterson by 1st Avenue.

At one point, NJ 20, Route 19, and Route 120 were all supposed to be part of the same highway; the other two highways were given separate designations in 1988.[2]
