Route 12 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States. It runs from Frenchtown, at the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge at the Delaware River border with Pennsylvania, to an intersection with Route 31 and U.S. Route 202 at the Flemington Circle.

Route 12 begins at PA 32 in Frenchtown at the Pennsylvania/New Jersey border. An intersection with County Route 513 soon follows. Known as Frenchtown-Flemington Road, it proceeds east. It soon intersects County Route 519 before crossing a small stream. It then intersects County Route 615. It reaches a traffic circle with County Route 523, and continues east. It crosses a small stream. It then crosses a pair of train tracks, before reaching another traffic circle, and ending at US 202/NJ 31 in Flemington.[2]

Route 12 was not part of the initial bill for the 1927 renumbering, but it was added into the final version, extending ralong the path of US 202 toward Somerville. The extended path of Route 12 involved what is now Old York Road.[2]
