The New Jersey Ironmen are an indoor soccer team who plays in the Major Indoor Soccer League. They joined the league for the 2007-08 season. The team plays at the Prudential Center, sharing the facility with the NHL's New Jersey Devils and the Seton Hall University men's basketball team.[1] Omid Namazi, recognized twice as MISL Coach of the Year, is the coach of the team.[1]

The Ironmen won their first game against the Orlando Sharks, 7-4, on October 27, 2007. The team's first home game took place on December 1 against the Detroit Ignition and was won 8-6.[2] Former New York Cosmo Pelé acted as honorary captain for the opener.[3] Tab Ramos who played on the MetroStars from 1996 to 2002 was honorary captain for the second home game. Giovanni Savarese who is the all-time leading goal scorer for the Metros will be the honorary captain for the fourth home game. The Empire Supporters Club, the main supporters club for Red Bull New York, is present at every Ironmen home game.
