New Hope Christian Fellowship
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
New Hope Christian Fellowship began in 1984 in Hilo, Hawaii. Wayne Cordeiro began the fledgling work with 35 people in the Waiakea Villas. It then moved to the Holo Women's Club and then to the Hilo Boy's and Girl's Club. In 1990, the "Gathering Place" was built and the church grew to 2000.
In 1995, Wayne and Anna Cordeiro moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to begin again. New Hope is a chartered church of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. It rents the Farrington High School and has 14,500 attendees weekly with nine satellite campuses: Hawaii Kai, Kaneohe, Kailua, Mililani, Manoa, Sand Island, Waikiki, Waianae, and the Windward Correctional Center.
New Hope is listed by Outreach Magazine as the 20th most influential church in the US and 10th most innovative.
