The New Georgian Monkey-faced Bat (Pteralopex taki) is an Old World fruit bat endemic to Solomon Islands, more specifically New Georgia Island and Vangunu Island. Apparently locally extinct on Kolombangara Island. According to Parnaby it is critically endangered.[1]
