[edit] About

The New England Institute lies across three beautiful areas of New South Wales. The Northern Tablelands is part of the Great Dividing Range as it sweeps northwards towards Queensland. To the east of the Tablelands lies the escarpment where high rainfall and rich volcanic soil help form the cool temperate rainforests. Some of these are World Heritage Areas and offer an extensive biodiversity. Fine wool and cattle bring wealth to the region. To the south, lie the slopes, where fertile soils, proud rivers and a temperate climate favour many agricultural pursuits. To the west lie the rich black soil plains - Australia's richest agriculture region.

The dynamic and versatile New England Institute has a reputation for using innovative methods, including web-enhanced learning, mixed mode and flexible delivery systems to deliver vocational education and training to sparsely populated areas.

The Institute services an area of more than 100,000 square kilometres in north-eastern NSW, from the beauty of the rugged mountain ranges to the vast plains. The Institute's provision of innovative educational opportunities reflects this geographic diversity, and includes the delivery of cotton courses on the plains, and outdoor recreational courses on the ranges.

A commitment to quality education and training is met by New England Institute as it services its 11 campuses through four faculties. The campuses range in size and diversity and are located in a range of environments from major regional centres to small rural townships. Students are given options on study methods, which helps them reach their goals.

Specialist student support services are provided throughout the Institute, ensuring that students are not disadvantaged and their educational progress is not impaired in any way.

New England Institute has been a driving force in many aspects of education and training on the state, national and international stage. The Institute continually reviews its programs, ensuring that it meets the demands of customers by providing quality educational and training facilities.
