New Buckenham
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Norfolk village of New Buckenham lies between the towns of Diss and Attleborough. A fine example of a mediaeval town, it is centred on an ancient green and whipping post. Oddly, the village is close to Old Buckenham - a community that contains rather newer housing. The community is the probably birthplace of Henry Condell, an actor in the company of William Shakespeare and co-compiler of the First Folio.
New Buckenham's calendar includes a traditional fair on May Day.
St Mary's Residential Care Home is located in Market Place.
