The New Bern River Rats are a baseball team in the Coastal Plain League. The team plays its home games at Boykin Field in New Bern, North Carolina. The team first started participating in the Coastal Plain League during the 2005 season during which it finished with 14 wins and 14 losses.

New Bern has hosted baseball teams in the past including an entry in the old Class D Coastal Plain League known as the New Bern Bears. The Bears won the Coastal Plain League championship in 1938, 1950 and 1951.
