Dear Mr. /removed/, Thank you for your email below. Please note that the content of ISO International Standards is copyright protected. However, we will not oppose to the use of the symbol as mentioned in your email as long as the following text is included next to the representation of the symbol: "This symbol is included in ISO 21482:2007. ISO International Standards are protected by copyright and may be purchased from ISO or its members (please visit www.iso.org for more information). ISO has not reviewed the accuracy or veracity of this information." I trust that you will understand the need to include the mentioned paragraph. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information. Subject: Copyright on the new supplementary radiation warning symbol I'm adding the new supplementary radiation warning symbol to Wikipedia (The Free Encyclopedia, http://en.wikipedia.org) and must ask what the copyright status of the symbol is. As for now, it is added under "fair use" (se "Licensing" under http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:New_radiation_symbol_ISO_21482.svg). It is converted to the svg format from your original PDF-format. The symbol is added under the following articles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radioactive_decay http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hazard_symbol But may be added to more (relevant) articles in the future. The discussion about the symbol's copyright status can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Media_copyright_questions#The_new_ion izing_radiation_warning_symbol_from_IAEA_.28ISO_21482.29 Do IAEA have an official copyright policy, and/or can you confirm that the symbol do not infringe on your (or ISO's) copyright and must be removed from the encyclopedia. /signature removed/
