Modified original description is: Related to Newton revolving orbits 1 2 3 6.png, but now shows the 2nd (blue) and 3rd (red) subharmonics of the base ellipse (shown in black). Briefly, if an inverse-cubic force of the correct magnitude were added to the inverse-square gravitational attraction, these planetary orbits would be produced. The eccentricity is 0.8, as in Newton revolving orbits 1 2 3 6.png and Newton revolving orbits 1 0.95.png.
