[edit] You are Welcome

Just ask if you need help Jedi6-(need help?) 22:53, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I just wanted to say hi too, as I spied you from Jedi6's talk page. I must warn you, however, he's a tricky one; never ask him why he is the 6th Jedi, as he'll do to you what he did to the other 5. Oh, and welcome to Wikipedia! >:) Ghost of Jedi5

I tried using this image on the wolf page, but the editors there kept deleting it.

It's orphaned now.

But I thought youd find it interesting.--Zereshk 00:29, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanx for the bunny eggs!--Zereshk 00:02, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandal

Oh, I'm reverting systematically, including (you will have seen) my talk-page. But the ideal would be for the vandal to go away; that's what bans are for. Septentrionalis 13:41, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mammy.jpg

Ok. Well, where to begin. First of all, the original picture was under copyright. So whether you can crop it or not is debateable. You should some kind of liscense that allows cropping for you to do so. Second of all, the liscense remains. You can't invoke public domain on a picture you created, if the initial source was under copyright. Thirdly, since the original picture was under copyright, fair use applies on the article under his name (I don't feel like checking the spelling). And so, you can't claim fair use on Iran for this picture, especially since there is no lack of pictures on that article. I'm deleting your cropped picture. Pepsidrinka 00:06, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

As far as my incivility goes and my above "rude" message, it was not my intent to be rude, but to inform you of the situation and why it was deleted. However, please tell me, was the image you created a crop of Image:Mahmoud Ahmadinejad front view.jpg.jpg or not. If that is the case, that image is under copyright. And such, you can't relicense your crop under the public domain using the {{PD-self}} tag. And furthermore, the now-deleted picture had no fair use rationale on the Iran article except:
This is the same image as in the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad picture- however it has been cropped to "profile", for a more appropriate headshot style. The reason for the cropping is placement on the Iran article, where the entire bodyshot of Mahmoud is inappropriate- just the headshot is needed.
That was the entire contents of the image summary. As far as I understand, this is not a sufficient reason why the image qualifies under fair use in that article. See WP:FAIR for more information. As far as the cropping goes, I did discuss the issue with other individuals who are active at WikiMedia Commons and they were the ones who told me that cropping an image reduces its fair use and that cropping a copyrighted image is disallowed unless expressed that it can be done. Pepsidrinka 10:26, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
You don't agree with what? Could you atleast confirm that it was a crop of the picture I made mention of to see if it was I made a mistake or not. Ending the conversation will not solve anything and it will not help me make a more correct decision in the future, if I have in fact erred. I would like to address you incivility concerns. You argue that I was being "rude" and then I see this and this. Please refrain from making [[WP:NPA|no personal attacks]. It is certainly a blockable offense, though I won't be the one to do it because I am an involved party. Also, please don't create misinformation in your edit summaries. I removed the two pictures from the page because there were no fair use rationales. It is not vandalism. Please assume good faith. Please read WP:VAND if you have not done so. It reads: Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Please do not label my good-faith edits as vandalism in the future. And please do not use misleading edit summaries. The first diff I provided was you allegedly reverting my edits, yet your edit clearly shows that you undid a lot more than I changed. If your going to revert me and do other stuff, mark it in your edit summary. Pepsidrinka 10:48, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
I have removed the two pictures from the gallery again. They still lack fair use rationales. Please see WP:FAIR for more information. Pepsidrinka 11:02, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Greetings, I noticed that you are reverting due to "slander". Would you kindly read over this section of talk about adding the Category:Anti-Semitic people category? I'm actually inclined myself to agree with your edits but edit warring (which is what you're essentially doing) is not the best way to get things done. You should know that WP:BLP guidelines actually support your editing as well (specifically in relation to negative information). Netscott 22:52, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thank you. Please do not make destructive edits to Wikipedia as you did in the article Shah Mahmoud Hanifi. Please also note that action may be taken against you for Wikistalking and edit warring. --Strothra 16:21, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

YOU are the one vandalising- leveling personal attacks and adding unencyclopedic content to Wikipedia is what you're doing, which is vandalism. If you keep it up, I'm going to take action against YOU. Never Cry Wolf 16:22, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I'd like to see you try to do that regarding your clear wikistalking regarding edits to articles I've recently edited and you've never contributed to before. Neither of those articles were Arab related and nor is the Iranian article. Instead of discussing your dispute have decided to go on a rampage on Wikipedia against me. This behavior is not tolerable. --Strothra 16:29, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shah Mahmoud Hanifi

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. --Takeel 16:36, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

This also applies to your recent reverts to Pamunkey. --Takeel 16:39, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No hard feelings

I'm sorry I had to bring your behavior to the attention of administrators but please know that there are no hard feelings. You're still new to Wikipedia so I want to make sure you're not scared away. I feel that you will make a good editor but you should keep in mind that you should discuss edits and not editors and make sure that all additions to Wikipedia are of an encylcopedic nature. In order to help you make positive edits to Wikipedia and have positive interactions with the other editors I feel it good manners to direct you the policies at WP:NOT, WP:AGF, and WP:CIVIL. These policies will make your stay on Wikipedia much more pleasant. Welcome to Wikipedia and, keep in mind, editing doesn't have to be stressful! --Strothra 21:26, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Hello Never Cry Wolf  : - ) I want to welcome you back too. Please contact me on my user talk page or by email [1] if you have any questions or concerns about editing Wikipedia. The key policies and guidelines Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiable Wikipedia:No original research, and Wikipedia:Reliable sources must be applied together. This can make Wikipedia policy and guidelines confusing for new editors. Discussion on the talk pages of articles is the best way to reach consensus. Reading through the talk page archives of controversial articles is helpful. Often the issues that concern you have been discussed in the past. Happy editing. [edit] Image:Habib-Mirzaee-wolf.jpg

Hello, Never Cry Wolf. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Habib-Mirzaee-wolf.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:Never Cry Wolf. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 04:30, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Wii?

The WP:LEAD should never contain information exclusive to itself. My original intention was to clean up the "Sales" section of Wii launch and move back the non-launch info to Wii article. I've procrastinated quite a bit since then. You can help, by the way. Just64helpin 14:43, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] He keeps reverting everything...

User:Someguy0830 keeps reverting everything. Angie Y. 22:08, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

You're not being the least bit helpful by acting as Angie's meatpuppet. Read WP:WEASEL and WP:MOSLINKS. You're ignoring my comments simply to revert on her behalf, and the fact that you show up a year later to exclusively revert for her is a tab bit suspicious. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 03:08, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Helping others dodge 3RR by reverting for them does no absolve you of responsibility, and that you've done it on three different articles makes it clear this is exactly what you're doing. Furthermore, you have yet to address my edits; you're just reverting to revert, not to fix anything. Also, your internet access is not a valid excuse for your year-long absence. You can log in from any computer terminal, and you have only return to edit Wii a few times and help Angie revert. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 03:40, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I've asked you twice now. You're the one not addressing the dispute. You're ignoring the dispute to incite an edit war. I say again, what makes the edits not weasel worded and what makes the cadre of random links appropriate? Answer the question, instead of acting like I'm some ex-lover who's tormenting you for the sake of it. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 04:32, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
