Talk:Neve Sha'anan (Haifa)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] The article name is misspelled
The neighborhood name is Nave Sha'anan and not Neve Sha'anan, According to the verse in Isaiah 33:20:
Look upon Zion, the city of our solemn gatherings; thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a peaceful habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
נָוֶה שַׁאֲנָן is Nave Sha'anan in English.
If someone could rename this page (and make the current spelling redirecting to the new one) - this would be great (and add a comment about the name origin, in the body of the article).—Preceding unsigned comment added by Esthy Klein (talk • contribs) 18:10, 26 November 2007
- It is not misspelled, as the name of the neighbourhood is not pronounced in the same way as the biblical verse. As well as being the most common spelling, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Haifa City Council and Haaretz all use the current spelling. Regards, пﮟოьεԻ 57 13:52, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- Is Grand really "Middle East's largest shopping mall"? Somehow, I doubt that. --132.68.4.170 (talk) 09:09, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
