Nevozvrashchentsy (plural form, singular is nevozvrashchenets; Russian: невозвращенцы) is the Russian term for citizens of the USSR refused to return to the country from trips abroad. The term began in 1929 after the law Central Executive Committee «Appointment outlawed Soviet citizens abroad, escape to enemies of proletariat and peasant. Have refused to return to the USSR.» People accused treason, also appointed execution by shooting.
