State Route 667 is also known as Kietzke Lane. State Route 667 begins at its junction with South Virginia Street (State Route 430; Business U.S. 395) in Reno and continues northerly to its terminus at Victorian Avenue in Sparks
[edit] History
In 2007, State Route 667 continued along Kietzke Lane south from South Virginia Street to its intersection with Neil Road. From there, the route turned east and followed Neil Road to connect with US 395 (unsigned I-580) before terminating at South Virginia Street (SR 430). As of 2008, this portion of State Route 667 has been removed from the state highway system; however, the portion of Neil Road near US 395 is currently maintained by Nevada DOT as a frontage road.[1]
The Neil Road section of State Route 667 was previously known as Del Monte Lane. The name change was made to help eliminate motorist confusion between Del Monte and Damonte (as in Damonte Ranch Parkway), as this had been an issue for emergency personnel when responding to incidents on or near US 395.
