The 2nd Congressional District of Nevada is a congressional district occupying all of Nevada outside of Clark County, and some parts of Clark County. The largest city in the district is Reno; along with surrounding Washoe County, it casts about 70% of the district's vote. The district was created after the 1980 census.

The district has a heavy Republican lean; Republicans often win elections at the local level here by 60 percent or more of the vote. Republicans have held the district since its creation, and Democrats have only made three serious bids for the seat.

The district is the largest district in area not to comprise an entire state.
