[edit] Thank you for the unblock
Thanks a million for the unblock. I'm not sure about yourself but I have two younger siblings who think it's entertaining to take advantage of the right to edit articles. So thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aggrivated (talk • contribs) 22:10, April 21, 2008

Hi Netsnipe, this school you blocked is also an open proxy (port 8080). Would you consider extending the block (or at least hardblocking) or do you think your one year block is good enough? Spellcast (talk) 21:43, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Just had a look at this guy's contribs--nothing there that suggests puppetry, unless I missed something. Blueboy 96 21:13, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Longer blocks
Hmmm. I hate blocking school IPs because for every Is Gay Lulz moron, there are x good kids who want to add important stuff about Bart Simpson :-) I tend to block short on schools because (unlike vandal kid in bedroom on their IP) in half an hour or an hour their IT lesson will be over and they'll be outta there. And generally my motto with the tools is to err on the side of benevolence. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up. Cheers --Dweller (talk) 15:06, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] HellofaDeal
Thanks for blocking; as you can see, he's got issues with both myself and MrSchimpf. It's GSNGuy, as you know, and according to his talkpage User talk:HellofaDeal he has "fuckin passworded" someone by the name of "Netsippe"--I'm assuming that's you? So evidently you're now on his buddy list as well. :) Just thought I'd pass it on, so you have a chance to protect his talkpage if you feel it's needed. Thanks! [edit] On 3RR
Just saw that you unblocked StewieGriffin!, saying that "WP:3RR applies to articles, not one's own RFA". That's wrong; 3RR applies everywhere. Wikipedia:Three-revert rule#Exceptions doesn't list any particular namespace aside from User: as being exempt from 3RR.
Note that I'm not contesting the unblock. I'm just saying that your provided rationale isn't accurate, and dropping you a line. EVula // talk // ☯ // 19:35, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I knew that Netsnipe's rationale wasn't entirely correct and knew of this as I wrote the 3RR admin guide ;-) - I believed, from a look at the RfA's history, that he was edit warring, but realise that there was a consensus against the block - so fair enough. :-) Scarian Call me Pat! 20:20, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Request
Hi. I would like to request a username. Two, if possible. Both are taken but have done no edits. Can you please create them for me? Ofanza (talk) 15:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- You need to file such a request at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations. -- Netsnipe ►
Ok, thanks. Ofanza (talk) 15:54, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks for retracting User:Thingg's warnings
I have just left a snooty note on Thingg's User talk... was really annoyed that someone who has just joined was telling me I was vandalising a page.
Thanks for seeing common sense. I'll bring it up in Categories for Discussion as you advise, although I assume the obvious solution would be to rename the category "WAGs (Wives And Girlfriends)".Tris2000 (talk) 17:38, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WAGs again
Any chance you could pop over to Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2008_June_6 to offer some support on this issue again? I've brought it up for discussion as per recommendations, but there does not appear to be a single Brit on that discussion area, and they are all saying delete because it's trivial. Tris2000 (talk) 10:03, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Try raising the issue at Wikipedia:UK Wikipedians' notice board. -- Netsnipe ► 10:12, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
