Hi,

there's one thing that puzzles me about the Planets suite: when recently taking a look at the score, I noted that the part in question was assigned to a 'tenor tuba in Bb'. It was written in the treble cleff but it was in the same key as the other instruments! And it went all the way up to c³ ... Seeing that I may be asked to perform it - what'd I miss?

[edit] License tagging for Image:Euphonium1.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Euphonium1.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:05, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Re. your comments on WP:ANI and WP:RFP, I've added the relevant pages to my watchlist. Invasion of privacy really annoys me & I'll try to stop this. Note though, that removing your full name from your userpage mightn't be a bad idea under the circumstances. - Alison 00:42, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] TTU alumni

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across like a whining five year old, but the studio gets skipped over so often when it's not dealing with tubas or the tuba ensemble. Thanks. ———————————————————

Okay Navy Band sorry, Bryce was a TTU undergrad and worked with Perantoni for his Masters at Bloomington. Cory Belvin is in the Ground Forces Band at Fort McPherson, studied with Timmy J at Cincinatti Conservatory for Masters. William Hunley played with the United States Naval Academy Band as euph soloist for 12 years. Jimme Self (not Jim Self in hollywood) played 26 years with the US Air Force Bands. Seth Fletcher went to the RNMC with Mead. Kelly Thomas is the tuba/euph studio professor at University of Arizona. Other accomplishments from euph alumni: finalists of military band auditions, ITEA journal co-editors, college tuba/euph studio professors, college band directors, etc.

Now, I'm not saying that TTU is like North Texas, but the studio is larger than most in the country (with the exception of some of those listed). So why should we not be listed on the page?

[edit] Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film)

Hey Netherlandish, the attention you've been putting into this article lately has been great. Thanks especially for the recent trimming down of the Synopsis section. I have neither the time nor patience nor stable internet access (I'm on vacation) to edit it now, but if you could add a few more spoilers in -- it's best to have a complete synopsis over a spoiler-free synopsis. Mentioning the Horcruxes and the climax of the book (DD's death) would be great. If you have the time… Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 21:04, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (film), you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Closenplay 04:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Transition from Renaissance to Baroque GA review

Nice article! Obviously you put a lot of work into it and it shows. I'm putting a 7-day Hold on the GA nomination process so some more work can be done. I've left comments on the Talk page. Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.

[edit] WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

[edit] EGM

EuphoniumGodMan won't be vandalizing for a few days. the page has semi protected for a couple of days. It's not enough time, but who knows if it will be longer. I reported his IPs because of the inappropriate link he made to the Euphonium page. --Antonio Lopez (talk) 04:17, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Yeah! I already did that, especialy that fake link of Ben C. the reason I reported him. Antonio Lopez (talk) 17:27, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

WOW! So the fool called himself gay and linked his name to that horrible nasty page! He has some major problems. Antonio Lopez (talk) 20:58, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My mistake

Thanks for reverting my edit. I guess I misread the section. yeah I already know that the cornet is conical-bore. I thought it was comparing Euphonium to cornet and Trumpet to baritone until I just noticed you reverted my edit.

Thanks! --Antonio Lopez (talk) 03:27, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wichita Falls

I'm not sure what your interest is in the population decline in Wichita Falls. I hope it has nothing to do with some kind of pissing contest between Wichita Falls and Denton. The population of Wichita Falls already hit 100,000 back in the 1960s. The oil industry collapsed and the population declined. Now it's back up to over 100,000—a considerable feat, but one Wichita Falls can do again if need be. Wichitans just don't buy the population story put out at the state and federal levels. -Acjelen (talk) 04:13, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Valdosta

Hello, I would like to know why you deleted my modifications to the Valdosta wiki. I added content about true Black History which happened in 1871 and 1872 in Valdosta, Georgia. This is based on research that I have done (and what others have done). I also provided and external link to an article that I wrote which was uploaded and placed on the Valdosta State University website by the University's Archivist. http://www.valdosta.edu/library/find/arch/research/liberiaEmigrants.htm

Here are references that I used in my full version article

Howard, Mark D. African departure: a history of the Liberian emigrants from Georgia in the Reconstruction era. (Masters Thesis), 1999.

“Departure of our Fall Expedition.” The African Repository. 47.12 (1871): 38-40.

“List of Emigrants for Liberia.” The African Repository. 47.12 (1871): 355-356.

“Departure of our Fall Expedition.” The African Repository. 48.12 (1871): 353-354.

“List of Emigrants for Liberia.” The African Repository. 48.3 (1872): 355-356.

“Local Melange.” South Georgia Times. 30 Jun. 1869.

I am beginning to take offense to the moderators of Wikipedia since everthing I uploaded to wikipedia gets immediately deleted. Both of these articles were related to African American issues and it seems that in both cases the moderators viewed them as irrelevant. Yet, I can find many one sentence wikis of things that aren't even common knowledge.

I just don't understand you guys??? –06:02, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Thisbrother (talk)§§== —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thisbrother (talkcontribs) 05:58, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Valdosta Response

01/13/08 - Response to your reply

I read many articles on Wikipedia. Enough to know that there is no great conspiracy to suppress African American information, because I read plenty of that here. Forgive me for making the mistake in thinking that you deleted my modifications. I did not go back and read the entire history section after I saw that my modifications were gone, and that was my mistake. I did look at the page's history, and mistakenly thought they were deletion edits. The Masters Thesis research about the Liberian connection is not my work, however I did look up one of the authors resources and find a list of emigrants, but the author of the Masters thesis is the one who first published the emigration story. There is an editor on Wikipedia who has deleted my wiki about an African American issue, first calling it spam, then irrelevant and not notable, but I was wrong in jumping to the wrong conclusions with you. I apologize.

How can Wikipedia say Don't use original work, if the research is academically sound. This doesn't make sense to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thisbrother (talkcontribs) 20:32, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Why Must You Be a Wikinerd...

My edits on Marymount International school Rome is totally correct. Why must you and your wikidork administrator revert my edits, they are not vandalism. Elliot Phillips (new PE teacher) is universally hated by all whom he teaches. He incompetent and perverted. In a recent survey carried out on all his pupils by the 10th grade class representative 128 out of 135 of those interview choose the option to shoot then tar and feather him over to sit in one of his classes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.0.8.29 (talk) 16:38, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Greetings!

Hi Rob! You don't know me, I'm just another random Wikipedian. I haven't seen you around much, but then again I've been away for a while. Anyway, you edited a page I created, and when I read your user page we had so much in common that I had to drop you a line. Among other things, I'm a 24-year-old Christian who played tuba at the University of Texas, has (happily) read both the Harry Potter series and Left Behind series, and has visited 42 states and slept in approximately 27 (with a goal to at least visit all 50). I really need to read more Christian apology, and am going to see Prince Caspian tonight with a young adults church group. Anyway, just thought I'd drop you a line and send you a friendly hello. Feel free to email me or leave me a message on my talk page, and we could even get a conversation going if you'd like. I hope you're having a great weekend! Eric (EWS23) 20:04, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
