Networked European Software and Services Initiative

The Networked European Software and Services Initiative (NESSI) is a European Technology Platform initiative to improve the competitive situation of the European Union in the field of Services Architectures and Software Infrastructures. NESSI was launched on 7 September 2005 by 13 partners and was enlarged in June 2006 to 22 partners and over 200 members.

The programme is a joint initiative (Public-Private Partnership) of the European Commission, representing the European Communities, and the industry. The main objective of the programma is to produce and implement a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA).
