Nette Broadband is a Finnish ISP. The company manages a wireless core network over city of Vaasa, using base stations managed by a customised Linux operating system.
The use of open source programs has given a chance through software customisation, the opportunity to run low cost Internet service providing.
The idea behind it is to prove the stability and security of Linux OS managing whole network infrastructure from routers to servers.[citation needed]
