Nether Compton

Nether Compton is a village in north west Dorset, England, situated three miles west of Sherborne and three miles east of Yeovil. The village has a population of 303 (2001).
The church of St Nicholas dates from the 13th century. There are five bells, one from the 15th century, one dated 1585, two dated 1658 and one modern.
On 1st September 2007 one of the villages most famous residents Amy Deacon got married to Mark McAnus an IT specialist from London in a ceremony at St Nicholas's church
