Netco (Somalia)

Netco Ltd, sometimes referred to as North Eastern Telecommunications Company, is a telecommunications company established in 1993 in Bosaso Bari region of Somalia. Netco is owned by Ismael Haji Abdi, an MBA graduate from Wisconsin University, USA. It is part of the Somali Telecom Group of companies.
Netco is the biggest telecommunications company in the state of Puntland;[citation needed] it's a fast developing company and has grown massively in the last 15 years through out the region with of over 800,000 customers.[citation needed] The company supplies home phones, mobile phone networks and Internet services. One of the Netco's next targets is to supply electricity throughout puntland, a project which will take place within the next 5 years.[citation needed]
