Net cash flow

Net cash flow (also called cash flow) is a measure of a company's financial health. It equals cash receipts minus cash payments over a given period of time; or using the income statement as a basis, net profit plus amounts charged off for depreciation, depletion, and amortization (business). It can be considered money that can be used for expansion, research and development, or retained as cash reserves.
