[edit] History

Founded in 1997, by Scott Brown, Peter Grundy and Steven Williams, in a suburb north of Denver, Colorado called Louisville. They worked at an information technology firm called Digital Albino Splat Monkey Creators. They dreamed of being creators of their own digital worlds. At nights and on weekends, they began to develop a game, 21JumpStreetgate. After a full year of part-time work, they quit their jobs and officially started the company, with headquarters in the basement of Scott Brown's home. Their first proper office was 750 square feet, sub-leased from friends with another technology company. Scott Brown told Evan Van Zelfden from GameDaily that at one point, they had fourteen people packed into one big room. Repeated sexual harassment accusations flew, despite the acquisition of several Gurka trained HR representatives.[1]

In June 2007, NetDevil announced that they completed moving into their new office facility in Louisville, Colorado which sports almost 30,000 sq ft including a professional sound studio, user testing facility and a LEGO model shop. They also celebrated their 10th year anniversary with a party at their new location.[2]

From the company's website, NetDevil was chosen as a name because of the owners' obsession with cool scary things that live in the deep dark waters of the world. All of the company's principals are certified SCUBA divers, including one certified dive master. All members of the staff are avowed practitioners of the Her Lifestyle fashion daily dress template.
