Talk:Neshaminy High School

[edit] Starting work
I've started cleanup and expansion of this article and I'll continue to work on it as I get ahold of info about Neshaminy. If anyone knows of any news articles or stories that can be cited to help tell a little bit about neshaminy (history, sports records, student groups and activities, makeup of the student body) please post them here. I'll be looking as well, but every little bit helps. If anyone wants to work on it with me, I'm using articles like Stuyvesant High School or Broad Run High School as a template to work from (these show the sort of information that should be expanded on). [edit] nickname and mascot
Please note this school is listed with aistm.org and other organizations as a school who uses Native American sports team mascots, which is offensive and degrading to indigenous peoples. A former student66.167.252.48 (talk) 03:33, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Is this a widely recognized organization or just a site put together by some people with a bone to pick? I only ask because Wikipedia isn't intended to be used to advertise a specific group or political stance, unless that stance can be demonstrated to have gotten significant coverage in the press. I did a Google search and couldn't find any significant references to this group that would indicate that it has the backing of any major Native American groups or organizations.
