Nestorio (Greek: Νεστόριο Nestório, formerly Νεστόριον Nestórion, South Slavic: Нестрам or Несрам) is a municipality in the Kastoria Prefecture, Greece. Population 1,782 (2001). Nestorio is a small picturesque village 28 km southwestwards of Kastoria. It has numerous natural beauties and offers visitors the chance to have an endless party at the banks of Aliakmon river.

Its geography consists of farmlands in the area, forest and mountains elsewhere.

The village attracts visitors all year round. The endless green fields, Aliakmon river, the magnificent view from the 1.000 m altitude and the options for accommodation, food and entertainment have made it famous all around Greece.

Nestorio is known throughout Greece for the summer music festival held in Nestorio every year, usually in July, called River Party.[1]

The world-wide renowned River Party takes place every year in Nestorio. It is a big concert organized every summer, at the first days of August in the banks of river Aliakmon. It is a pole of attraction for thousands of young people. Many artists participate in this festival and entertain people with their songs.

The region around Aliakmon is really magnificent. Nature can be a short getaway from everyday routine. It is the perfect place to meet new people, as thousands of young people visit it to participate at the River Party.

The area was ruled by the Ottomans until the Balkan Wars of 1913. There were 2,700 inhabitants in Nestorio at the beginning of the 20th century.[citation needed] It became a part of Greece in 1913. After World War II and the Greek Civil War, many of its buildings were rebuilt. Some of its residents moved to other parts of Greece and North America

Electricity and automobiles arrived in the 1960s, it was linked with pavement in the late-20th century, television arrived in the 1980s. Internet and computers arrived in the late-1990s.

The area around Nestorio was struck by a fire in late-July 2007, its forests were quickly burnt and left several houses and other properties including cars burnt and destroyed. Fire trucks along with firefighters, helicopters and airplanes battled the fire and quickly stopped spreading outside the area of Nestorio and in the village. It lasted for several days and it affected Kypseli, Pefko and Trilofo area.

Nestorio has a school, church, a lyceum (middle school), a gymnasium (secondary school), banks, a post office, and a square (plateia).
