From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Numbers of axons in a nerve cross-section: I came here looking for these figures but they're not here -- I've added a sentence with blanks for someone more knowledgeable to fill in. These numbers are very important for people thinking about (1) computer models and (2) nerve reconnections.

I think this section would be clearer if it was named Movement after death. Wigren 16:04, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Propagate via sound not electricity?

[1] This article seems to suggest that it is sound waves, not electrical impulses which are propagating. Can anyone confirm? If so, the discussion around Anatomy/Action potential seems to now be incorrect. Cariaso 22:42, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
