Nerlerit Inaat Airport (IATA: CNP, ICAO: BGCO), also called Constable Pynt Airport, is located on Jameson Land, eastern Greenland.
The length of the runway, means that the airport can only be used by a small number of aircraft. Namely the de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter and the Fokker 50
A Bell 222 helicopter is permanently housed at the airport , which acts as a link between the village of Ittoqqortoormiit (approx. 30km from the Airport) and the airport itself. The helicopter also provides Search and rescue capabilities with in the surrounding area, and can be chartered for transport.
[edit] Expeditions
The airport acts as stopping off point for a number of expeditions into the surrounding areas. This is due to its close proximity to areas, such as Renland, that have only just been visited [1], or have had no known visitors.
