[edit] Background

Nerinx Hall was established in 1924.[1] Founded by the Sisters of Loretto, nerinx Believes that educated, caring, empowered young women are essential to our world. A demanding curriculum challenges students to understand their world; a Christian community nurtures the Spirit alive in each student. Student leadership is fostered through an effective student government and student court, twenty clubs including Model U.N., science and math teams, as well as thirteen varsity sports, along with numerous Jr. Varsity and Freshman teams. The arts are fostered by the presence of an aesthetics coordinator and the award winning Select Women's Choir, the orchestra, jazz band, art classes and award winning theater productions. At this Loretto school, young women are called to deliberate Christian action in their world and learning to become strong, empowerd women in their community.[1]

[edit] Notable Alumnae

Recently, Nerinx made a large addition to their high school, much to the dismay of local residents. The building's design has been much debated in the community.
