This looks very good,m but I think we need to separate between FPTP votes and PR votes. My suggestion is to have 1. party name, 2. fptp candidates, votes, %, seats, 3, pr votes, %, seats, 4. Column with Total Seats. --Soman (talk) 08:16, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Will we be getting a full tabulation of the FPTP votes or will we have to do that by hand? If the latter, I don't think we should include it in the table, as the national situation is represented best by the proportional votes; however, if the Election Commission will publish added results of the FPTP seats, we can include that, too. —Nightstallion 09:25, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
I can summarize the FPTP results by hand. I think it can be interesting to compare differences in voting patterns. --Soman (talk) 09:48, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough, I added columns for the FPTP results. I think we don't need a separate column for number of candidates, as we already have that in another table in the main article. —Nightstallion 09:51, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
How about Nepalese Constituent Assembly election, 2008Summary of the 10 April 2008 Nepalese Constituent Assembly election results |- !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=left colspan="2" rowspan="2" valign=top|Party !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=center colspan="3"|FPTP !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=center colspan="3"|Proportional !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=center colspan="3" rowspan="2" valign=top|Total seats |- !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=right|Votes !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=right|% !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=right|Seats !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=right|Votes !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=right|% !style="background-color:#E9E9E9" align=right|Seats ? (remaining in doubt over where to put nominated seats, suggest we solve that situation once they are nominated). --Soman (talk) 15:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
How do you like what I've done now? —Nightstallion 15:59, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
It looks good. Sorry, I have to conduct self-criticism on my behalf, a '+/-' comparision is of course valid for the FPTP votes. --Soman (talk) 16:09, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Great! Then we now only have to wait for the results to come in. :)Nightstallion 16:38, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] +/–

another q goes for the '+/–' columns. There is a difference between the CA election and previous parliamentary election. We can only compare voting figures for FPTP votes, and the seat comparison becomes dubious as the CA has almost three times as many members as the old pratinidhi sabha. --Soman (talk) 10:46, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Okay, removed both. —Nightstallion 15:59, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Independents

one minor problem with the table is that there are actually no "independents" for the proportional vote--since it is only open to parties, so could we maybe black out those squares?--Goldsztajn (talk) 00:45, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Aye, a moment, please. —Nightstallion 06:23, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
