This plant is named after Art Vogel, botanist and conservatory manager of the Hortus Botanicus Leiden, which hosts a collection of Nepenthes-species. Eduard (Ed) Ferdinand de Vogel is the botanist that made the first description of this species, he's is the botanist with the abbreviation de Vogel. 194.134.193.16 22:03, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
