[edit] Plot
Nephilim is a shōjo fantasy that takes place during a territorial struggle between the Imperial Nation and the Rebels. Caught dead center in this bloody struggle for power is a forest inhabited by a unique race of people called the "Nephilim" who can transform from male to female when day changes into night. Rumored to possess unimaginable beauty at night, these shape-shifters/gender-benders are also known as shinigamis (gods of death) for all those who look upon their ethereal nightly visages are met with certain death. And that is precisely the predicament imperial soldier, Gai, finds himself in when he accidentally catches quite a nice view of the naked Nephilim Abel during a nightly bath. Now stuck with a beautiful angel of death determined to take his life, Gai finds himself pulling every playboy trick in the book to seduce her into giving up.
