Nephele hespera is a sphingid moth found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Burma Myanmar, southern China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia.
Food plant for caterpillars is Carissa congesta commonly called as Karwanda in Maharastra, India
