Nepean Hospital is a 420-bed teaching hospital in Kingswood, in western Sydney. Having opened in 1956, it is a tertiary referral hospital and level-one trauma centre, with a wide range of services including maternity, gynaecology, neonatal intensive care, emergency, diagnostics, paediatrics, surgery, intensive care, coronary care, rehabilitation and mental health.
The hospital hosts a clinical school of the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine. It is, along with Westmead Hospital, one of the two major hospitals of the Sydney West Area Health Service.
