To my knowledge, no. The thing is it's been rewritten, but it's sort of tough for me to tell if it still counts as a copyvio, since the basic structure of the original text is there, but a good amount of the words have been replaced. At the very least it could be AfD'd, but I'm not well known on conspiracy or FBI topics to know if this program was notable. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 22:57, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jamify on deletion review

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Jamify. Since you closed the deletion discussion for (or speedy-deleted) this article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Ryanbomber 13:10, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I think some editors (including me, until just now) have developed a mistaken impression that you were involved in the speedy deletion. On second look, as far as I can tell you just closed the AfD when you realised the article had been deleted. It would help if you could clarify this at the DRV. --Sam Blanning(talk) 15:08, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Do you know these guys???

San Jose Sharks vs. St. Louis Blues, November 28, 2006

I just saw that you spend much time with the article of the San Jose Sharks. Can you tell the names of the two players on the picture above? I would say it's Mark Smith (left) and Curtis Brown (right). Do you agree? --80.131.218.253 22:28, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

If I could clearly see the numbers, it'd be easier for me. Brown is definitely the player on the right; as for the player on the left, I'm not completely certain it could be Smith; he sort of reminds me of Mark Bell as well. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 23:26, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot, but if you take a closer look at the fully enlarged picture you can see some blonde hair on the back of the head of the left player. This seems typical for Smith, haven't seen Bell with blonde hair yet. --80.131.218.253 23:37, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, you're right, that's definately not Bell; it probably is Smith - I'm not completely sure, but considering he's the only Shark who dyes his hair, I'd take your word for it. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 04:45, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Queenland Christian Soccer Association Page

Hi,

I setup the QCSA page a couple of weeks back with the intention of getting all our clubs to put some info about their clubs on to it similar to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brisbane_Mens_Football.

I know that my next page Rivers Baptist Soccer Club was probably a bit of advertising but as I was finding information to not make it advertising it got deleted. How happy am I???

I am new to wikipedia and trying to help out our clubs get a little bit of a presence on the web and I was working out how to do it.

I was trying to make it comply but didn't get a chance.

Ah well it looks like it is gone now.

Thanks, Qcsachair 03:36, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My Vandalism

Odd. Usually I get an orange-yellowish warning tag when people leave me a message. To be frank, I was hoping to get nailed by AntiVandalBot. My associates and I are conducting an experiment to see the bot has an "anon bias", but for the last three days not one single page we have hit has been reverted by AVB. This is becoming frustrating. 75.6.216.202 07:29, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I am working on some pages about the history of Colombia, and i noticed that you changed a redirect page i had done, and also deleted the contents.

The country that is now Colombia came to be after the transformation of the Colonies of Spain, in the following order,

im trying to create different pages that way i can expand them without having to look back to my sources, so please direct any concern to me before deleting or redirecting material to this pages. mijotoba 07:34, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re: List of Swiss artists

Note that there's already Category:Swiss artists, so having such a list is redudant. Additionally, the creator, Vspano (talk · contribs), originally created the article with a single entry, with a link to a site belonging to a "Vincent Spano". That's why I put marked the articles as spam. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 08:33, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, agreed it may be redundant, but that's not CSD. Anyway, give him time to work on the list, if he comes back tomorrow, and it still only has one person on it, then it's probably spam. Newbies can be pretty slow at creating new articles. Part Deux 08:37, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello,

You seem to be one of the top moderators of the Sharks section on Wikipedia. For starters I think the Sharks section is very well set up. I don't mind that you deleted the notable alumni section I added. The Sharks Wiki page use to have one several months ago, but was removed. Notable Alumni wouldn't be a bad addition to show more team history, but it's no big deal.

Also, I added Tom Preissing to the key youth players in 03-04 as he was team rookie of the year and has since become a fine 2-3 defenseman.

Here's to continued success. Always nice to find another fan of Team Teal.

[edit] 'Might Guy'? Not really.

No. The original Japanese name would NOT be 'Might Guy' any more than Lee's would be 'Rock Lee.' See, that's not how the Japanese speak OR spell. 'Ai' is the only way to make the long 'i' sound, so far as I've seen. Not 'igh' and not 'uy.' That's ridiculous. Also, we see them adding vowels onto the ends of names. In Death Note, Light becomes 'Raito' Lee, you may have noticed, is technically 'Rocku Ri.' Only 'Ri' sounds KIND OF like it's got a BIT of an 'l.' 'Might Guy' would be pronounced 'Mee-guh-hut Gooey.' Okay? So you're wrong, I'm afraid. 'Might Guy' is how they TRANSLATED IT FOR ENGLISH SPEAKERS. Something I don't agree with. It's a JAPANESE MANGA we can use some Japanese pronunciations! But...don't you think you're a bit late in the game? I've stopped. I had WALKED AWAY. You've won. I've gone off to spread my radical name-spellings elsewhere. Tread carefully on blog-sites, I could be spreading my sedition there, as well. Also, I am SO SORRY for speaking this way. And I am really, truly not being sarcastic when I say that. I'm sorry for it; I just don't take it back. But...couldn't we do something where in the opening bit we state that both names could maybe be accepted? That would make me really happy, and it wouldn't be TRULY wrong, would it? Lynna669 03:21, 28 February 2007 (UTC) Lynna669

Thanks for fixing my AFD nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pars Society. I have been receiving emails after having gotten User:Mriraq blocked from what seems like one or two individuals. One claims to be Alaa Abdul Hadi, a former Miss Iraq, now User:nimrod1976, and one claims to be Ahmed Kadret, a former Mr. Iraq, User:Mriraq. Both persons claim to work for the Talat Organization. They have been polite and civil. I am attempting to steer Alaa to constructive contribution. I asked her to create an ID so she could upload the dozens of photos they sent me of past Miss Iraqs. I attempted to encourage her to communicate with me through this ID on wikipedia so I could instruct her on how to upload her photos. However, she went ahead and recreated Miss Iraq instead. Could you userfy both the original Miss Iraq and her recreation so that I can see what is going on. I will try to keep you posted on my progress and try to get her to communicate with me through wikipedia so that our communication will be transparent. [edit] Miss Iraq

Hi,

I have posted the information thinking that if i provided reliable sources it wouldnt violate the terms of Wiki.

I have a question

how come when i posted that the claudia hanna article should be removed and deleted, no action was taken? since the article has one unreliable source and states false information regarding Miss Hanna's claim that she won Miss Iraq and took the title from Silva Sahagian when I provided links that Claudia IS NOT Miss Iraq 2006 and never took part in any official pageant no one seemed to bother.

I am simply trying to correct the article and it seems that people are biased towards an intentional false reporting.

Miss Iraq 2006 took place in Baghdad on April 5th 2006 and The Pageant Miss Hanna took part in was Miss Arab World 2006, where she won first runner up and then when Miss Arab World 2006 was dethroned, then Miss Arab World 2006 title was rewarded to Miss Hanna.

I thought Wiki is all about truth, but it seems false articles have a place here.

I dont mean to be rude, but every time I want someone to correct the content of Claudia Hanna , that seems to be deleted and such persistance on the false content that the article reports.

The Pageant in Sharam Al Sheikh was MISS ARAB WORLD 2006 and not Miss Iraq 2006.

Regards Alaa —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nimrod1976 (talkcontribs) 09:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Miss Iraq

can you please send me the article i posted to

talatmodels@walla.com

and regarding the Claudia Hanna article, every time i send a correction statement backed up with reliable resources to the creators of that article, they seem to ignore it. They are persistent to the false information with regards to the Claudia Hanna article.

Regards,

Alaa —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nimrod1976 (talkcontribs) 09:22, 10 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Claudia Hanna

Hi,

1- Claudia Hanna's article states that Silva Sahagian resigned which is NOT TRUE and states that Claudia is Miss Iraq and won Miss Iraq in Sharam Al Sheikh which is false

if the resources state that she won Miss Iraq 2006 in Sharam Al Sheikh please send me those resources.

2- the article doesnt state her as Miss Arab World and says she is Miss Iraq only

thats why i will continue to find a way to get rid of this article because it has damaged the image of Silva Sahagian as Miss Iraq 2006 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nimrod1976 (talkcontribs) 15:46, 10 April 2007 (UTC).

I have had a chance to look further into the controversy. I believe the problem is that wikipedia is recognizing Two people as Miss Iraq 2006 without clarifying the distinction. I only find blogs in a google search. I will properly cite her page and clarify her title. TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio) 15:35, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name links in 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs

I think you might have gone one step too far with unlinking player names. I completely understand the guidelines in Wikipedia:Manual of Style (links) with respect to linking the first instance on a page, but I don't think they necessarily apply here. Sports results pages are unlike pages that consist primarlily of prose text, in that readers don't typically read from top to bottom. For example, if I am navigating this kind of page and jump first to the results and description of the final series (as it is most important), I probably won't see many wikilinked player names unless I scroll backwards, and then it is a bit of a search exercise. I would prefer to see wikilinks removed for second and subsequent instances only in the same section (i.e. series). What do you think? Andrwsc 20:53, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Hm. The format i was using was the way it was done in 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but I see your concern in why they should be linked in further sections. I'lhelp take care of that. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 20:56, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

NeoChaosX, your aptness in attacking The Way sickens me. Who cares if it was made using RPG Maker. Have you even bothered playing any of The Way games? Fact not opinion. It hasn't got any 'Reliable' sources becuase corporate sell-out wannabes like you don't give things like The Way the time of day. You and others like you are just out to crap all over the little guy. It doesn't matter becuase one way or another a reliable source WILL be found and The Way will be Wikipedia worthy and when it does you're going to look like the massive dumbass you really are. I'll apologise in advance for any apparent rudeness I may have displayed but it's hard to remain polite when everything turns the water in my kettle to fumes. It just escapes me how one person can fail to see the greatness of The Way. Instead of criticising it, you could do the mature thing and try to help it. If you still fail to find anything, then and only then will you have any credibility whatsoever. If this is deleted it will only serve to proove my point furthur...80.44.141.44 21:00, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Is it is just the fact there were no reliable sources that it was deleted then?ABlackGentleman 11:57, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Nom" AfD

Hi! Just curious, why was Nom put up for a AfD instead of a Speedy Delete? It seems like patent nonsense to me. I'm new here and would like to learn the ropes of when a speedy delete is and isn't appropriate. Thank you!  DangerousNerd  talk 21:15, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Akira-helmet.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Akira-helmet.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 16:25, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:AkiraKazama.gif

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:AkiraKazama.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 16:26, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your opinion welcome at deletion review for Plot of Les Mis

After Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Plot of Les Misérables closed as a deletion, I'm challenging the way the closing administrator acted as in violation of Wikipedia rules. Your participation is welcome at that discussion, Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2007 July 14. Please keep in mind that only arguments related to either new information or to how Wikipedia rules were violated or not violated in closing the discussion will be considered. It isn't a replay of the original AfD. I'm familiar with WP:CANVASSING and I am alerting everyone who participated in that discussion to the deletion review. I won't contact anyone again on this topic, and I apologize if you consider this note distracting. Noroton 04:02, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The AnimeLand and sockpuppet suspicions

Greetings! Have you got some diffs or contribution histories to point me at with your sockpuppet suspicions? If I can see the evidence, I'll speedy delete and block the creator. —C.Fred (talk) 01:27, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Somebody else got to him with the block, actually. I've speedy deleted the article; the sockpuppeteer was blocked, not banned, so while it's not CSD G5, it's still eligible for speedy deletion as vandalism. —C.Fred (talk) 01:56, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Yep, User:Jiky was the missing link there. Another administrator blocked him by the time I looped back (and saw your intervention request); once he was blocked, then I speedy-deleted the page as continued vandalism. —C.Fred (talk) 01:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
