[edit] Dating

Is the February 2008 start date correct? The EvaMonkey forums say it started back on 24 August 2007, last year. --Gwern (contribs) 21:36 17 February 2008 (GMT)

[edit] My first impression...

Neon Genesis Evangelion meets Shakugan no Shana. Did anyone else get that feel? --Shay Guy (talk) 18:47, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

More like NGE meets Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime, especially how Shinji got involved George Leung (talk) 23:42, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Edits to the article

I've edited a few errors in the article, outlined below:

-While prior to the debut of the manga the author's name was thought to be Min "Nemuri" (the article had yet another mis-typing of the name as "Nerumi"), it has since been confirmed that the author's name is Min Min, as given in furigana on all title pages. This confusion stems from the fact that Min Nemuri (眠り民) has a similar reading to Min Min (眠民), and early in the manga's run, high-quality raws were not available, thus the furigana was illegible.

-The first chapter of the manga debuted in the October issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Asuka magazine. Translations first became readily available in February, which is where that confusion originates.

[edit] plot errors?

The premise of this series is to re-collect the Angels, not defeat/destroy them. The Angels are meant to act as a supporting device for the Yggdrasil (which is, according to this manga, the joining point for all parallel realities - literally, the "World Tree"), but the Angels decided to flee from this role of theirs and live out their lives in freedom. Thus, the main point of fighting the Angels is to coerce them into returning to the tree, which would otherwise wither and thus all parallel realities would converge into one. Which would be bad.

I think the main plot section must be edited to reflect this. (I don't think I'm qualified to do so, though, since I wouldn't be able to put it concisely into words.)
