I have been searching for information verifying that NHDC is on the GRAS list. I cannot find such information on any US government sources. I have seen many references to a FEMA GRAS list (FEMA GRAS 3732) Originally I wondered how FEMA was able to declare substances generally recognized as safe, but then I ran into the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association. Methinks there might be some deception going on her, but I'd like a second opinion (or third; I've also asked someone in the field).
