Neomysis integer is a species of opossum shrimp found in shallow marine bays of Europe. It has a transparent greenish or brown body and a large cephalothorax. These opossum shrimps are frequently found in large numbers. They usually filter small food particles out of the water, but consume larger prey occasionally. Opossum shrimps are themselves often consumed by fishes. The females have a brood pouch in which eggs and young crustaceans develop.
