Neochmia is a genus of estrildid finches found in Australasia. They are gregarious seed-eaters with short, thick, but pointed bills. The members are:
- Red-browed Finch, Neochmia temporalis
- Crimson Finch, Neochmia phaeton
- Star Finch, Neochmia ruficauda
- Plum-headed Finch or Cherry Finch, Neochmia modesta
Red-browed Finch and Plum-headed Finch are sometimes placed in other genera.
