Founded by Robert Dean, Charles Galyon and Eric Stamm around 2002 to 2003, NeoPong Software was based in Knoxville, Tennessee. While their independently developed Nintendo Game Boy Advance game "World Reborn" never made it to game shelves, it served as the catalyst to bring the company contract work with Gorilla Systems in the hand held market.
The company worked for Gorilla Systems on six Nintendo Game Boy Advance games and two Nintendo DS games. In March of 2007, just as business seemed to be going well for NeoPong, business relations with Gorilla Systems broke down due to late payments.
NeoPong continued to operate on a reduced staff for another month, holding onto a single development contract with an unnamed publisher, whilst also developing software for the Nintendo Wii in hopes of expanding their area of development. Upon finding that their last development contract was breaking down due to lack of funds, NeoPong decided to close shop in April of 2007.
NeoPong has decided to release a free Nintendo Game Boy Advance rom of their first unreleased game World Reborn. You can download the binary rom from their website.
