[edit] Comparison of Windows and Linux
Hello Thank you for your interest in the article "Comparison of Windows and Linux". We understand that there is a problem with neutrality in parts of the article. Some parts are biased towards linux, and some towards windows, and we are working very hard to even them out. You may find it very rewarding to help us identify the parts that are biased towards each and fix them (and make sure you update the neutrality tracking table in discussion). As you may have read on discussion, there are some domains in which one OS is better than the other, if there are no opinions, just facts, then this is indeed neutral.
I look forward to working with you on this article. Hendrixski 15:15, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Citation on BA 009 Article (Help me!)
I was hoping someone could give me a hand with my edit to British Airways Flight 9. I added the line "Following the incident, the crew and passengers formed the Galunggung Gliding Club as a means to keep in contact. [1]" and cited the article I got this information from, but I can't seem to get my citation working correctly. If a more experienced wikipedia editor could please fix this and let me know how it's done, I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you, Nemilar 20:04, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Looks good, where the problem is ? ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 21:34, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- everything looks fine the reference its populating properly the only issue I saw is that you put a space in between the period and the reference you want to add the reference without spaces so the ref number isn't ever moved to the next line. — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 22:23, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Smoking bans (Cigarette article)
I agree with you. Summarizing what are smoking bans in one or two paragraphs would be enough. This is an article about cigarettes, not smoking bans. I think that there are more opinions for my proposal than against so the modification could be made. You can make the necassary edits if you want. Canjth 02:04, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Help Me! Earthworm article, B-class template
{{helpme}} Please help!
I'm trying to classify the article Earthworm as a B-class article, but I can't for the life of me figure out why it isn't working! Please see Talk:Earthworm for what I'm referring to...once someone sees this, please let me know what I'm doing wrong so I can do it correctly in the future.
Thanks in advance for your help!!! --Nemilar 04:47, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- the B class is only relative to a project, with assessment criteria, however earthworm does not seem to be in a project.
On the other hand you could propose it for good article and get a good article tag if it passes! GB 04:50, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
The rating tag looks something like:
{{WikiProject Animals |class=B |importance=mid |attention= }}
the rating is just a subparameter of the WikiProject, so if there is no project there is nothing to stick it on. And earthworm is vandalised nearly every day so enjoy cleaning out the stupid content!
I haven't yet looked to see if there is a project that may be relevant. GB 05:07, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
The closest project seems to be Wikipedia:WikiProject_Tree_of_Life but it has no assessment included, although it has participants and taxobox. Ony birds, dinosaurs and cryptozoology have assessments amoungst the animals. GB 05:14, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
You may wish to join forces with WP:WVWP which is looking at how to assess articles that are not part of a project, for the purposes of a CD publication of important articles. GB 05:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

This article on which you have worked was proposed for deletion. I removed the tag, but it needs expansion, which should be easy enough. DGG 22:57, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit to Space Shuttle Columbia Disaster
The revision looks correct to me. The foam was definitely off the external tank and not from the SRBs. Thanks for keeping an eye on the article, though! MLilburne 20:28, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Prod notification
[edit] Nicknames for cigarettes
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Nicknames for cigarettes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Jmlk17 03:33, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
The article Nicknames for cigarettes has been sent to AfD. You can go vote to oppose deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nicknames for cigarettes. Canjth 17:03, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Check the history
Hi Nemilar, I've noticed that while you are reverting vandalism on the computer hardware article, you've been using the undo feature, causing you to miss some vandalism in cases where there is more than one edit. I think it would be a good idea to check the history as well to make sure you're not missing anything. Cheers! Leedeth 04:29, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
