I'm a mycology professor at a research university in the northeastern US. I teach and do research on fungi using molecular and classical approaches. I'm especially fond of molds and ascomycetes, parasites and symbionts. I teach a class in mushroom identification. My user name refers to the sacred grove of hemlocks in which I make my home. I'm a girl, but I'm taken.
