Nemo, the Classic Comics Library
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nemo, the Classic Comics Library, was a magazine published in the 1980s by Fantagraphics devoted to classic comic strips. It lasted for 31 issues (the last being a double issue) plus one annual. Most issues were edited by Richard Marschall. It takes it name from the classic comic strip Little Nemo.
Fantagraphics also used the term "Nemo Bookshelf, the Classic Comics Library" for their line of classic comic strip reprint books of the time, including Little Orphan Annie, Pogo, Red Barry, Dickie Dare, The Complete E. C. Segar Popeye, Prince Valiant.
While each issue usually had a theme, sometimes devoting the entire issue to that theme, most issues were a mixture of articles, interviews, comic strip reprints and more.
