Nemetschek AG is a company which produces CAD/CAE-software featuring Allplan, VectorWorks, ArchiCAD and Scia Engineer.
- The company was founded 1963 by Prof. Georg Nemetschek and listed on the Munich stock exchange in 1999. It is headquartered in Munich, Germany.
Nemetschek's products include Allplan, a 3d CAAD software program for the design of buildings with several modules, including a basic, drafting module, an architectural module, a module for city planning, a module for site planning and digital terrain modeling, a module for building information and cost estimation, etc.
- Nemetschek purchased Maxon, the producer of CINEMA 4D
- Nemetschek purchased Diehl Graphsoft and with its product Vectorworks in 2000. Nemetschek North America (formerly Diehl Graphsoft) is now a wholly owned subsidiary Nemetschek AG. Vectorworks is a cross-platform CAD products (it is available for the Macintosh as well as Windows platforms) and is available in over 85 countries and is translated in 9 languages. The Vectorworks Industry Series is a line of products designed specifically to meet the needs of designers in the fields of AEC, entertainment and landscape design.
- In 2006 Nemetschek purchased SCIA Group, Belgium - the leading CAE software provider for structural engineering and steel design.
- In 2007 Nemetschek purchased the Hungarian Graphisoft with its leading 3d CAD software product for building design, ArchiCAD.
Nemetschek is member of the building smart initiative and member of IAI. Its software supports the construction industry standard IFC.
