Nelson Azevedo Jobim is a Brazilian jurist and politician. He once served as President of the Brazilian Supreme Federal Tribunal. He now serves as the Minister of Defense for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio "Lula" da Silva. He was appointed to the position due to the firing of Waldir Pires for his role in the aviation crisis of 2006-2007.[1]
